Walsh:PR is seeking a creative-thinking Social Media Executive to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable of the entire Social Media landscape, loves using Social Media personally and lives and breathes internet culture.

 

This position provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly and supportive environment across a range of industry verticals, including Food & Nutrition, Health & Medical, Sustainability, Consumer Lifestyle, FMCG, Travel & Tourism and Charity & NGO. You will specifically be involved in agencybrainstorm sessions, influencing digital strategy, managing social media content/advertising and providing community management. 

 

This is primarily a social media marketing position, however, an understanding of the wider public relations context is also key.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and develop compelling content to increase brand awareness, visibility and audience engagement 
  • Strategic social advertising creation/implementation and analysis
  • Create post-campaign reports
  • Monitor/respond on social media channels 
  • Assist the team in project management as needed
  • Join client meetings to pitch content ideas and showcase performance of posts
  • Provide weekly recaps of competitor and industry trends

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year experience in social media marketing at an agency
  • Qualification in communications or marketing
  • Proficient in Facebook Ads Manager

 

Skills Required:

  • Highly organised
  • Self-accountable; can work well with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable in a client-facing position 
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment 
     

A Big Plus:

  • Passion for writing and creative concepting
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite
  • Project management experience
  • Graphic design ability
  • Video marketing experience
  • Google Analytics
  • Google AdWords
  • An understanding of SEO
