Cillín Hill Agribusiness and Retail Park

Challenge

Walsh Public Relations was given the task of launching the Cillín Hill Agribusiness and Retail Park in Co Kilkenny. A first of its kind in Ireland, the Retail Park is a state-of-the-art facility designed to service the farming community and reflect modern farming practice.

Strategy

Walsh Public Relations devised a launch event with the aim of attracting the attention of local and national media, local residents and the all important farming community.

Action

Economist Jim Power was invited to open the launch function with an overview of the place of farming in the Irish economy. The launch event was held in the Lyrath Hotel close to the site of the proposed Agribusiness and Retail Park.

Results

The event was attended by the farming, local and national media. The result was extensive editorial and photographic coverage in key national farming and property publications. In addition, extensive coverage was achieved through local press and several interviews highlighting the benefits and detail of the new facility were secured on national and local radio.
